If I had to make a list of garments in which I can lounge around all weekend, then Bermuda shorts jeans would top my list. Bermuda shorts are longer than regular shorts and usually end around the knees. This makes them more wearable and comfortable. I don’t have to worry about them riding too high when lounging around at pool parties or even a lazy afternoon with friends.
I have a rack full of cotton Bermudas, but comparatively denim ones do last you a longer period. The other thing is that you can really do anything in these tomboy-chic denim Bermuda shorts. Be it washing the car, coloring the fence or simply gardening, jeans are easier to maintain.
The last time I had a slight rip on mine when gardening. But you know what? It just made the shorts appear cooler. And these shorts surely rank high on the fashion quotient too. Labels like Gap, Old Navy and Calvin Klein have given these tomboyish designs a chic finish.
Compared to wider Bermudas, I prefer the more tapered ones. Not only do they look more feminine, they are also more wearable. You can pair them with tees, oversized shirts or even tanks.
Here are a few tips on wearing these Bermuda shorts-
- For a casual lunch with the girls, wear it with a feminine peasant top or blouse. A pair of loafers or sandals completes the look.
- You can hit the beach in these by slipping on shorts over your tankini or swimsuit. Just carry a cool tank or cover-up with you
- Polo neck tees work great with these shorts too. You can sport it for a game of golf or just run errands in them
