When it comes to picking sleepwear, I want something that is warm, cozy and trendy. There is no reason for your nightwear to look like maternity wear. It should be slightly loose so that you can toss and turn around comfortably. One of my favorite choices for sleepwear is an organic cotton nightgown. The fabric is warm enough for the cool morning breeze and doesn’t make you too uncomfortable in the night!
These days, I do pick nightwear made from pure or organic cotton. Since these fabrics don’t use any harsh dyes or chemicals, they are more skin-friendly. Light or pastel colors like baby blues, pinks and yellows are my favorite.
What I love the most about organic nightwear is that it offers comfort, without going over the top. The best part is that everything from sowing the seeds to manufacturing of the garment is done the organic way, which is eco-friendly and non-cruel. They also ensure a great finish. I hate it when loose threads or unfinished seams keep on irritating me at night! Wasn’t sleepwear all about getting sweet dreams?
I am more of a pajama person, especially when I am having a slumber party, as they are easier to maintain and lounge around in. The soft knit fabric is feather light and feels just like skin. The trendy, organic designs give me the freedom to move around the house or even step out on the porch.
I do enjoy wearing nightgowns once in a while too. When it comes to nightgowns, I prefer something that ends above the ankles or up to the knees. You don’t want your gown swooshing on the floor!
I really adore those cute lilies and butterfly prints. These organic nightgowns truly bring me close to nature and remind me of playing in the woods! This is one zone where I never want to grow up. After all, I do want to sleep like a baby every night!
