Paris Haute Couture 2011: Christian Dior Spring

John Galliano draws on the artistic inspiration for Christian Dior Haute Couture in Paris. Galliano literally "pulled" on artistic inspiration, basing his collection on the work of the famous twentieth century illustrator Rene Gruau, who collaborated with the founder of the house, M. Christian Dior, for much of his career.Galliano sounded the calligraphic strokes of Gruau in Top of embroidery and beads and liquid illustrative line voluminous ballgowns, which rose and fell around the body in a series of waves.


The American model, Karlie Kloss, a global catwalk star opened the show on a dramatic red-to-black tulle coat, accessorized with a red 'paper' eyebrows. He interpreteted a technique "Chiaroscuro" multi-layered crinoline, "New Look" skirt and belt, peplum jackets, it was a shadow-dyed in shades of powder blue to beige, magenta-to-black or peaches with lemon juice for up to seven layers with silk tulle. The Spanish film director Pedro Almodovar, with his muse, actress Elena Anaya, along with the aristocratic British model Stella Tennant, Marisa Berenson and Mario Testino, the renowned photographer who shot the official engagement pictures of Prince William and Kate Middleton were among Dior's first row guests.
