Of late, I have been in quite a nostalgic mood. I have been cleaning out my cupboards. In the process, I came across many old photographs and memorabilia, one of which was my precious Bulova Gold Watch.
My uncle presented this exquisite watch to me when I graduated from college. My uncle and I shared a unique relationship. He loved pulling my leg and I have been a victim of many of his pranks. Over the years I had become quite cautious when he was around. However, he always pampered me, as I was his favorite niece. He was quite proud when I graduated with flying colors.
After the gradation, when he presented me with the p
resent, I was a little wary. I opened the gift cautiously. I caught my breath when I saw this beautiful Bulova 95U30 diamond and gold watch. It had a 14K oval gold case and the bezel was studded with diamonds. The white mother of pearl dial had golden indexes and two gems at the 6 and 12 positions. Its delicate bracelet band had a design of alternating diamonds and gold leaves. A slide lock clasp with a safety latch was used to fasten the watch. The moisture-resistant watch kept up the Bulova tradition of not only looking like an elegant piece of jewelery but also working with the precision that Bulova watches are renowned for. After all, Bulova timepieces have been used to keep time aboard the Air Force One, and on the moon by NASA.
Thereafter I used to wear my Bulova gold and diamond watch on all special occasions. However, after my uncle’s death, I stopped using it and kept it safely with my other memorabilia.
