If I am looking for a safe and versatile color in handbags, then taupe leather purse is one my first picks. The very mention of taupe makes me think of the stylish ‘Smilla’ from Gucci. But of course, that is a bit too overpriced for me, so I make do with some similar styles.

Now taupe is actually a very vague color term. It can mean almost any shade ranging from warm grays to grayish-brown or even brownish-gray. The colors tend to overlap with the neutral tan. And designers too, keep having disagreements on what exactly is taupe.
Well for me this color is a safe choice, something you cannot go wrong with. Here are my top reasons for picking taupe, compared to brighter hues-

• The neutral color can be carried with reds, browns, blues, green, etc. For those who are planning to invest in high-end designer bags like Louis Vuitton, Gucci or Prada, this is a color that will never go out of style

You can alter the look of the bag by simply changing the way you carry it or dress up. For instance, sport it at a holiday party with a sequined short dress to add that oomph factor.
