Bobbi Brown discovered her talent back in the mid 90s and let the people at Allure know – who were so enamored by Lippmann that they declared her “one of the best manicurists in the country” (Boca Raton News – Feb 3, 2003). Deborah Lippmann actually started out by pursuing a career as a jazz vocalist in New York (she’s originally from Arizona) but found herself working as a manicurist. After years of building success among famous clientele, she founded the Lippmann Collection in 1999, which features her own nail polish and other nail grooming tools.

The Fall 2011 collection is a little bit dark and edgy, with a hunter green (Billionaire), a dusty red (Single Ladies) and the burnt orange (Brick House). Each has a warm undertone to combat chilly fall, with a bit of shimmer for a glamorous feel.
She also released a three-nail polish collection called Get the Party Started in conjunction with Nordstrom’s Anniversary 2011 sale, a dazzling New Year’s-worthy collection featuring three glitter nail polishes: Happy Birthday, Candy Shop, and Forget You.
Deborah Lippman’s Spring and Summer 2011 swatches are like a candy confection: the powder blue Glitter in the Air has hexagonal glitters suspended in it, Naked is sophisticated (who would think?) and creamy, and Girls Just Want to Have Fun is an on-trend coral.
