Dressing for a formal Sunday luncheon

Komarov dress chiffon jacket
It is never easy dressing up for a formal Sunday luncheon. You want to be relaxed for some frivolous endeavors and yet appropriately dressed to not look sloppy. One of my favorite choices here is a dress chiffon jacket.
I pick chiffon above all other fabrics when it comes to luncheons because they are lightweight, flowy and yet so classy. You don’t have to worry about being underdressed because the garment itself is so elegant and royal.
A friend of mine had recently picked this Komarov dress chiffon jacket with pleated charmeuse in purple ash. Not only is the color appropriate for the day, the dress itself is sleeveless. So, if you feel like heading out for a stroll in the garden, you can simply take off the jacket.
The outfit comes with diamond-pleated chiffon tops and a lustrous sleeveless dress. It is fashioned with sheer insets at the hemline. The gorgeously jeweled snap secures the V-neck jacket. It has three-quarter-length sleeves so that you can hide those out-of-shape arms if needed.
The tiered, raw-edge hem helps to create the illusion of a slimmer silhouette. The dress ends right below the knee, which makes it comfortable for day wear and yet appropriate for formal luncheons.
Here are a few other tippers to help you dress up for a formal Sunday luncheon-
  • Remember that be it a formal sit-down luncheon or even a buffet, you should never pick something that ends way above the knees
  • Make a sleeveless outfit more elegant with a shrug or light shawl
  • Don’t over-accessorize, especially if your dress already has beads or stones
